    Roses in Orange

About a year ago, I took the Panasonic Lumix G9 II camera and the OM System 40-150mm f/4 Pro lens to the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay, specifically to photograph the blooming flowers inside.

After returning home and browsing through the colorful floral shots, I was amazed by the vibrant colors and sharpness delivered by this camera-lens combo. However, the straight-out-of-camera photos always fell a bit short of the vision I had in mind, so I planned to revisit them for post-processing someday. That “someday” turned out to be now, a year later.

I processed the photos using DxO PhotoLab, employing techniques like multiple exposures, selective blurring, adding dynamic lighting, and vintage effects to achieve results that finally satisfied my creative appetite.

These roses all carry hints of orange in their hues. Some are pearl-white with a delicate touch of warm orange, exuding elegance and freshness, while others are richly saturated with interwoven reds and oranges, radiating passion and vitality.
